Partnering once again with retail fit-out and facility management specialists DOR Contract Services, our team delivered a fast-tracked mechanical and plumbing package for the new Maxi Zoo store in Mallow.
Commercial retail units frequently present layout challenges where municipal sewer lines are distant or overhead. This project successfully showcased our team’s adaptability, using advanced mechanical pumping solutions alongside robust water storage and water heating infrastructure to deliver a fully compliant, self-contained commercial plumbing system.
Our Detailed Scope of Work
Specialised Overhead Drainage & Wastewater Engineering
Overhead Pumped Sewage
Supplied and installed a high-performance Saniflo heavy-duty macerator (mulcher) pump. This specialised system allows staff facilities and wastewater services to be installed anywhere in the retail layout by mechanically shredding and pumping waste vertically into overhead sewer mains.
Waste Pipework Services
Designed, routed and jointed all localised wastewater pipework circuits to feed safely into the macerator system without risk of backflow.
Water Supply & Thermal Management
Domestic Water Services
Supplied and installed all primary internal hot and cold water supply pipework networks to service staff kitchenettes, toilets and specialised retail areas.
Localised Water Heating
Supplied and fitted a high-efficiency commercial water heater to ensure instant, dependable hot water on demand.
Storage Infrastructure
Integrated a dedicated Cold Water Storage (CWS) tank to maintain independent water reserves and uniform pressure profiles across the retail premises.
Sanitary Ware & Final Fit-Out
Commercial Second Fix
Supplied, precision-fitted and commissioned all high-durability commercial sanitary ware and washroom fixtures.
Testing & Sign-off
Completed thorough hydrostatic pressure testing and seal verifications across all water and pumped waste assets prior to store launch.
